Why is my friend or family offline?
They can go offline for several reasons. They should follow these steps to stay online:
- They closed the Share Location app on their phone. Ask them to open the Share Location app to come back online.
- They turned off their phone or they ran out of battery.
- They have no, or poor internet connection.
- They turned off Wi-Fi or Cellular.
- They did not set their phone to ‘Always’ allow the app to use their location. ‘While in Use’ will not allow the app to keep their location up to date.
- They turned off ‘Precise Location’.
- They did not allow the app to use Cellular Data.
- Their phone is in Airplane mode.
- They enabled Low Power Mode.
Also, make sure they are on the latest version of the Share Location app to receive the latest bug fixes and improvements to our location technology.
